The England striker was taken off on a stretcher in the first half and went to hospital for a scan on his leg.
The £6.25million signing from Liverpool fell awkwardly in the 16th minute after attempting to control a pass from Stan Lazaridis.
The Blues were playing against former Villa striker Savo Milosevic but it was Valmiro Valdo who opened the scoring in the 74th minute.
Steve Bruce's men then went on the attack and Mario Melchiot delivered a dangerous cross that was cleared before the home side grabbed the equaliser with five minutes remaining.
Jesper Gronkjaer's cross was met by Jamie Clapham and the full-back's shot was deflected in.
From the above event, I guess Heskey have no chances of becoming a top scorer of EPL and to show the world he is not a flop.
With news of the no-show of all the big club top strikers in the beginning of the season, I believe the opening day of the season will be full of nil - nil scoreline.
