Benitez will replace Murphy with either Xabi Alonso,Luis Garcia or Shaun Wright Phillips. -

I thought Murphy combined well with Cisse on the right when they played together against Celtic.During the other 2 games,Murphy was deployed in the middle whereby he had quiet games.
Still,its a shock that Murphy is on his way out.But,its not confirmed yet.At least its not yet announced on the official website.
One reason for his departure could be that Benitez needs funds to improve his squad. -

i am quite sad tt liverpool sold murphy away but this is wat i feel. Murphy is a hardworking player but he doesn't have the extra edge in his play. His play is very ordinary. He usually plays on the right but he always drift inwards towards the centre. he seldom deliver good crosses into the box. he also can't play in the centre coz he always gets outmuscled. if liverpool were serious abt challenging for the premiership title, we definitely need a better right winger. so probably benitez want a more creative and fast right winger. also, the only way to bring in new players is to sell new ones. Hopefully we'll see some new faces soon

quite sad that murphy is leaving ...cos he is the only consistent player to take penalty if owen is not in form....he always come in as an sub to score crucial goal...just like spore steven tan (in the past) hahahaha....
although he is not in the first 11 lists for liverpool...but he always come in as a sub to change the situation if the reds is not performing...
