Ive noticed that there are a couple of fans clearly disappointed by the imminent sale of Michael Owen to Real Madrid.
I'll say,
"Dont Fret.Dont lose hope.Have faith in Rafa Benitez".
This is not the first time Benitez has a caused a stir by allowing one of the star players in his team to leave the club.Remember
Gaizka Mendieta?Claudio Lopez?Kily Gonzalez? These players were considered the stars of the Valencia team when Benitez took over from Ranieri. But he promptly sold them off. There was no compromise on the results end.2 Spanish league titles and a Uefa Cup.I believe Benitez knows what he is doing.
Here's what I really think based on the different reports Ive read.Benitez, despite claiming that he never wanted to sell Owen actually felt that Owen did not fit into his plans or rather
not worth the 100 pounds weekly wages he was asking for.And this was the perfect time for him to off load the striker.
We'll see
more of Baros now.Along with
Cisse.There's
Sinama Pongolle. And who knows?maybe someone bright from the Academy?
MarkSmyth?Nell Mellor?Or maybe even a chance for
El Hadji Diouf? Though Pity that
Le Tallec went on loan.
