carragher and dudek gifted anelka the goal.
if you guys noticed, liverpool doesnt have a midfield at all. it was the same long ball tactic as compared to last season.
at least the players showed a little more aggression today.
lastly, i still think baros was overvalued from his european performance. he was lucky back then to have scored five goals in that tournament.
if you observed closely, he needs to beef up his ball control.
i rather see pongolle up there with cisse. -

wooo... all the luck really came useful, tho the team did put in more hard work in the second half.
i was thinking if liverpool should always trail in the first half and work their ass off in the second, rather than leading in the first half and slump in the second like last week again spurs. -

A win , but not a convincing win though ! We can be anytime 5-1 , if not for those "heroic" save from James !
I thought Liverpool players need to understand more of each other , their communication sucks !
Harry Kewell played horribly terrible today ! Nothing he didi was right !

if you look closely at the replay, he didnt really "assist". he missed the ball. -
As for that second goal , Baros' presence caused some chaos inside the box , and left Gerrard unmarked for the winner !
As for Baros' first , he can see his relief after scoring ! The burden he carried since the day Owen was sold !

The effect of the defensive midfield is still evident in this match.
When steven sleep, the rest of the midfield sleeps.
Kewell is not playing well and losing ball easily.
Liverpool lacks a playmaker to thread the ball to Cisse.
I believe Ah Ben Know the problems and he is stocking up on midfielders.
A victory is a victory.

but the Baros goal, showed that he can think on his feet.. looked up, see which way James was heading then put it past James like the commentator said..
what do you think about the 2 times Baros was pushed? both legit penalties? -

Well , depends alot of the ref . on the day ..... Poll was asleep a few times this match !
Maybe Baros played a part too....in a sense , he fell too easily earlier in the match ! So when a genuine case comes into the situation , Graham Poll will treat it as another easy fall ! -
Both Baros and Cissie are quick.. At least Baros is running..
Cissie might take some time to adapt EPL, hoefully he does.. Else, look at Crespo and Mutu..where are they now?

Fielding the same team as our 1st match, it means the new boys were not featured as yet. 1st-H was so-so but we came alive in the 2nd.
Outstanding players include Stevie-G, Josemi, Baros (2-H oni).
Below par were Finnan (looked dejected), Kewell (erratic at times) and Dudek (1 bad mistake).
Overall, I'm happy with the more positive play...those back-passes all the way to goalie were much minimised these days.

I dunno if u guys feel the same as i do.
But i was quite bored watching the liv-city match.
The state of liv soccer is IMO shockingly boring (even if it wins)
Gone are the days whereby Liv played attractive soccer when
mcmanamen, fowler, dean sauders, peter beardsley, john barnes and ian rush are in the side.
On the contrast,
I catch the the match ars vs boro thru out and am deeply impress
by the entertaining soccer ars dished out.
From a neutral party point of view, I have to say, Liv soccer and method of playing sucks big time as compare to the fast flowing ars attacking style.
