Wat are your expectations?

Looks like we've got no more new signings, and we're stuck with Traore (strange?), Diao n Biscan. So we know the squad for the season now, wat do u think of it...and wat are your expectations for the season?
Firstly, this is how I see the squad:-
Goalies : Dudek - needs 2b more zai...pls leave ur butter at home! Kirkland - too fragile; gets injured far too often.
Defence: Generally ok except a little short of cover shd Hyypia be missing. Strongly think Henchoz shd be ahead of Traore n Diao in the pecking order. Left and Rite sides looks alright with sufficient cover.
Midfield: Supposedly our strongest department esp. with the new boys added. Whether Stevie and Alonso can play effectively together (big IF) is crucial to our season. Gracia looks versatile and cld be a surprise success. Hope Nunez can provide quality runs and crosses fm the rite; while Kewell can rediscover himself soon.
Forward: Looks abit thin with only Cisse and Baros who are still getting used to each other. Pongolle is still learning his trade, while Mellor has yet to prove himself.
While I wish we cld've strengthened the defence n attack lineup, I think we've a reasonable enuff squad. Much will now depends on how Beni's gonna motivate n get the best out of these players. Hopefully as the season progress, the new players will find their feet and gel with the team more effectively.
So for this season, my expectations will be checked - a 3rd-placing will be nice ... n a Cup or 2 will really be bonus!

Arsenal , still invincible up-to-date , a likely Champion !
I don't expect L'Pool to be Champion this season anyway , but I felt we should target ourself to be at least a third , if not second !
Many might not agree , but i looked forward a more complete team witha few more games , and understanding among the players !
They'll keep improving !
We'll improve , better than what we did last season ! -

Ah Ben is still trying out the squad this season.
Top three places are out of the question.
You have to take into consideration for the existing squad to suit the playing style of the spanish players.
The present squad are used to playing long balls and playing defensive soccer.
They are not really adventurous in moving forward and stroking the ball around.
Ah Ben have to make more changes and understand the rest of premier league team before he can make any impact.
Furthermore, he seem to be the soft-spoken type of coach, not like the ah-beng type of coach in Chelsea.
So, I dun really expect any stuff from this squad.
Just pray that they stay injury-free for the rest of the season as they still lack depth in their reserves. -
Keeper: toss up between dudek and kirkland when he is fit
Defence: i would like to see finnan on the right with josemi moving into the center with Hyypia, Riise on the left
Miidfield: Kewell (no news of his injury, maybe fell out with ah ben), Alonso, gerrard and Garcia
Forwards: Ciise and Baros
hope to see this formation tried out.
Then in jan transfer window, hope they buy Mista!!!!! should be very cheap given the fact that he is in Owen's situation.
Expectations? Top 4 finish to ensure Champion's league football again. -

... i'd like to see kirkland fit and get a go in place of ah dude ... his confidence seems to have left him mysteriously ... i thought he could have done better with all the goals we've let in so far ... apart frm kirkland, i'd love to see cudicini or niemi in our squad ...
... defence? need a lot more work really ... traore still looks as wobbly as ever ... diao? pls juzt give him away ...
... midfield ... will the real kewell pls stand up? ... i'd like to see more of warnock and partridge, especially in the league cup ... igor biscuit is another mystery ... seemed to do well in pre-season but has since disappeared ...
... on the whole, massive improvement in defence ... and midfield to support and link up with attack ... ah ben will fix us up ... we'll see what happens in 4 months' time ... -
My wish is still to see Liverpool do well against Rooney's MU now ..... Chelski MegaDollar Team ...... and Arsenal the invincible !
Do well in a sense , win every home game against them and grap a point against them away !
As for the rest of those league team , let's take a game at a time and win according , especially at home , we've won 1 game at home against MC , and drew at Spurs , and lost at Bolton , which's a good result considering LFC has a new set-up ! And it's ony three games played , so......
Let's us conquer the EPL !! -
I agree with Mr Poolman.
I have to follow Liverpool one match at a time.
I kind of wish that the fans and Ah Ben be paitent so that more local made english players can go up the rank of first team.
I believe it is more effective and cheaper this way than finding a quick fix in scouting through the transfer market.
Build a team first - that is my expectation.
Liverpool is not effective as a team.
When the opponents are near our goal mouth, the REDS seems to be very disorganised and banging into each other to cover the angles.
Improve as a team and then we conquer. -

Now it makes sense...abt Henchoz!
We were abt to sell him to Man City...tat's why he was not featured in the last 2 league games. Fortunately or not, the deal fell thru.
Wonder if they held on to Traore thinking tat Henchoz deal was almost certain?! *sharks!!!*
