Monaco without Giuly , who went to Barcelona , Morientes , who stayed at Real and new signing , Saviola not playing ...... quite a bit of good news !
Bad news is , they can always choose not to play beautiful football , defending stuff all the way !

1-0 to Monaco... If Morientes still at Monaco.. definately more goal...

Not familiar with Monaco leh...except tat they're last yr's finalist and shd've won the finals agst Porto!
So they shd be strong... good thing their strike-force has since been depleted.
Nevertheless, it's a good test for us; being at home, I wld expect at least a draw. With a little luck, we may even win narrowly - 2/1 for Reds... an auspicious start to our CL campaign!

Sounds like the teams played well...but cld've buried them earlier. Good to know Cisse and Baros scored...will do great to their confidence. Garcia and Finnan played well too...with Stevie and Alonso controlling the MF.
Our defence had a few scares but overall was alright. Hope they maintain the clean-sheet...esp. our next match! -
