something is very wrong with the man utd players. their touches were so right.
even wes brown is having a good game. he could tackle, dribble, thru pass and cross! though it was a strange tactic from fregie that wes brown gets to overlap so much into liverpool's half.
liverpool's performance delighted me first ten minutes from the game as they were chasing for every ball. i was thinking to myself "if they continue to play like that for the rest of the game, lose also i gum wan."
yeah, such standard only lasted for like ten over minutes and man utd were given their chances to regain composure.
one key factor is missing from liverpool's game: communication.
both cissie and garcia cant read the passes to them, be it grounder or long ball. they gave up chasing before the ball even touches the ground.
kewell looks kinda kan cheong when he was given the chance to do what he is best at: dribble.
most passes were intercepted by the man utd midfielders.
ferdinard still looks commanding to me.
dudek could have save the first goal but he stood his line.
overall, man utd deserves the first half's scoreline, if not more. -

we all know some defenders are good headers when it comes to corner kicks. which is why ferdinard never keep his eyes off hyypia when liverpool has their corner. yet they let riise mark silvestre?
anyway, cisse also poor thing lar. the linesman doesnt seem to like him with all those strange offside decisions.
ok... now that cisse has left the pitch, i hope there is one less language to use and communication can beef up a bit.. -
btw, the source to silvestre's second goal was an undeserving one.

liverpool has lost. not exactly very sia suay this time round, considering how they battle during the last 20 minutes.
but what i seriously dont understand is that why do they always begin to perform only when they are trailing? can't they fight more aggressively consistently?
anyway, i aint too upset with this result. not that it is deserving with quite a number of contraversial decisions from both referee and linesmen, but at least it lives up to what is expected of such big game.
now for team and tactical analysis.
i still miss the hyypia and henchoz combination. carragher simply aint commanding enough to be a centre back yet. his no-nonsense attitude is high-regarded but only when he is playing right-back.
riise no longer fits into the team, from my point of view. without a pair of stable centre backs, his style of overlapping the midfielder cannot come useful given that he needs to backtrack on wingers.
as for the midfielders, what i would suggest is to throw kewell, hamman, gerrard, alonso and garcia on an island for a couple of months. make them eat, sh|t and mate with one another to enhance their understanding among themselves.
i cant rate the strike forces much because they didnt get to perform much.
what liverpool needs is to have 5 proper team players who knows how to pass among one another in the opponent's half. -
it was absolutely right that cisse be replaced.
he didnt bring enough torments to man utd's defence. and when it looks like he is about to do so, linesman flag for offside.
his expression shows that he is not having a good day at all. he didnt and doesnt want to read the passes from his fellow midfielder.
probably he doesnt like the yellow jersey.
in a way, i would say he should have been replaced earlier. -

Everybody are upset about the defeat this morning.
Guess the Keng Attitude is still resident in the mind of the players.
Although they lost, they are playing with more composure.
They just need more time to gel together.
But, the danger sign is showing after this match.
The midfield and the striker section need more reinforcement.
Any injury to Cisse, Baros or Gerrard will have great impact for the European Matches.
Kudo for Man Utd for exposing the weakness of Liverpool this time.
This will enable Ah Ben to beef up his squad and thrash the Devils next time.
Cisse is different from Henry.
He need a good supply from Midfield to score.

Losing to Man utd is a terrible result. It's as bad as losing to Tampines Rovers. This is how I feel regarding this result. No disrespect to man utd but i rather Liverpool lose to Norwich or WBA then to lose to man utd. Well, what to do ? This game wasnt' to be our game. Even if they beat us, it doesnt mean they will win the title , there is still a long way to go. Good luck to every man utd's opponents, may the force and luck be with you guys.
