present for bday/V-day

okie, I know I have asked some of you before this. I am planning to give him a gift on his coming birthday or maybe this coming Valentine's Day, btu I am not sure about the V-Day cos as you know, we are not official yet..So the way I am planning this is..if he gives me something on V-Day(which I think would not happen), I will give him a knitted scarf and hat. Or else I will give it to him on his bday, which will be in July.
So what do you think of that idea? Do you think that it is weird for me to give him that knitted scarf and hat? It will prolly take me one whole month to do it...but I m just not sure cos I dun wan to appear too caring you know, like I dun wan to appear like I am already so much in love with him(tho I think I am) by putting so much effort into this present. So do you think it is appropriate to give him that knitted scarf and hat on his bday or V-Day?
