Lingerie Care Tips
To keep your bras and panties from losing their shape, they should be hand washed in cold water and a gentle detergent.
If hand washing isn't your thing (we all lead very busy lives), use a lingerie bag and the delicate cycle on your washing machine and a cool water setting. Ensure that all clasps are done up so that the bras don't get tangled. (Please note that this is always going to be harder on your fine lingerie than a gentle washing by hand.)
Never, never, never put bras or panties in the dryer. The intense heat will ruin them. They should be line dried, away from any sunlight (to avoid fading of the colors.)
Most manufacturers consider the average lifespan for a lingerie garment to be approximately 6-8 months. Check your garments carefully... once they begin to lose their shape and elasticity, it's time they were replaced. Proper washing and care of your fine lingerie will extend their life as long as possible. -

Lingerie Care Instructions

Most lingerie can be hand washed using a gentle non-colored shampoo (baby shampoo is ideal) or silk wash, but never detergent, as it strips the finish from the fabric. Use cold water and shampoo. Soak the garment for 5 minutes, then hand wash gently. Do NOT wring or twist. Rinse well in cool water and gently blot excess moisture. A teaspoon of vinegar can be added to the rinse water to ensure all soap is removed. Hang to dry, away from heat or sunlight. Warm iron while still slightly damp, on wrong side. For dark colors and prints, wash separately in warm water as they may run. Do not soak. Move printed garments continuously to avoid dyes running into one another. Always, always, always ... check the care label before washing. Some garments MUST be dry cleaned, and for robes and cover-ups, dry cleaning is recommended.

To assure long life wear, lingerie should be washed in cold water with a gentle detergent, like Woolite®. Let them soak for 3 minutes. Gently squeeze the suds through the lingerie. Rinse them thoroughly in cool or cold water. Roll them in a towel to remove the excess water. Do NOT wring or twist your lingerie. Dry them flat, away from heat and sun.
Hot water washing may shrink your satin lingerie from 10% to 20% in size.
After the lingerie is dry, it should be ironed. Your new panties, just like other fine lingerie, should only be ironed inside-out. The iron should be set to light for the Charmeuse, and to medium/light for the Bridal Satin. After ironing, your panties will become noticeably softer. Nylon panties should not need ironing, but if you do, use a light setting. -
