  I can understand your concern for your friend but by having an open invitation might not necessarily bring the best results. A forum like this is open for all to see and people of all types might view this thread and might interpert it wrongly. What's more, when you bring your friend out for an outing next time, people would come with a pre concieved concept of what to expect. Try to start from your own circle of friends and slowly cast your net further. I am sure you are sincere in helping your friend but do not end up becoming "hao xin zuo huai shi." ( doing bad with a good heart.)
