On a serious note, use the offical designated crossings -
One sunny weekday in kops21 younger day, i was near the junction of Raffles City and Capitol building. Saw about at least 6 TP(Cisco i think) stand along the street same side as Capitol Building. When the Buses stops, about 20-30 folks just walk across the street and the TP just signal them to come over and booked them. Some(good citizen) stop to get details taken down, some just brush away and walk straight, some make u-turn in the middle of the road and head for the traffic lights....It is pretty funny at that time, and every buses stopped sure got folks walking across the street which traffic light crossing just less than 20metres away. I left 10 mins after watching the interesting event.

3. Look left again.
4. Make sure no hidden TP then cross the road.
