The Asian Film Archive cordially invites students, especially those with a passion for film, to sign up as student leaders of Cineodeon 2008, a
youth-initiated cinema chain project designed to help students learn
how to programme and manage a film screening, under the mentorship of
industry professionals.
To equip these
leaders with the necessary skills and resources to organise these
screenings, we have scheduled a series of training sessions in which
students will be tutored on film literacy, programming and promotion
techniques, as well as the facilitation of post-screening discussions.
The first of these preparation workshops is the one-day Cineodeon Boot
Camp, where students will meet with teams from other participating
schools, and also their mentors who will guide them in planning for
their screening in August.
