After the ROM, you're officially husband and wife already. Whether or not you choose to have sex after ROM or after the traditional chinese wedding dinner is entirely up to the couple.
Actually, to tell you the truth, if it doesn't give my parents heart attack, I'd rather skip the traditional chinese wedding dinner for a more informal and cozy affair. Big do's with large crowds of people, most of whom you don't know well and a handful whom you don't even know at all, scares the hell outta me!

nowadays this piece of paper don't do much. I doubt ppl still believe much about this piece of thingy. It's so routine in S'pore... to ROM then can apply HDB.... no long ROM because they want... but more likely to need the paper.
