i'm tempted by this:

the Sony Cybershot DSC-M1

takes still pics.. built in flash.. 5.1 megapixel.. red-eye reduction.. 3x optical zoom
AND
takes 30fps videos too..

also tempted by:

Motorola Razr V3

i think this one, i'll get coz i need a phone and this one, out of pure vanity Twisted Evil

my big ticket items for 2005 Razz

think i'll eat leaves and twigs for 2005... but maybe won't get the camera coz i already have one Razz

you might want to think twice about getting motorola.
i used to work there. all the workers anyhow throw the phones one. and most of the phones have problems because they used the wrong parts in the machine.

get the Panasonic!

it's got Leica lenses and they're good... about as good as the Carl Zeiss lenses Sony uses...

also, a stabiliser and 12x optical zoom!

as for gadgets.. hey.. sometimes, the large cam is a hassle to lug around Razz

not really.. just that the phone is probably going to be durable as it's made of titanium Razz

kinda sad i broke the phone i'm using now.. if not, i'd not be looking at phones...

as for the camera, it's one of those things that would be fun to have but not necessary Laughing

i've got a still camera that'll out-perform the hell out of this little cam Razz

Some of my friends have it.
It's like.. erm.. okie.

your camera has a focal range.. it will be unable to focus if it is too close...

so kill the zoom totally, turn on the macro and allow it to focus slowly.. have the ring about 3 inches from the lens, the camera should focus Wink

I don't think my Sony P10 is that 'advanced'..
Anyway no ring yet.. still waiting!!

uhh.. okay...

make sure you're not zooming in on the target.. that is, there is no zoom... the target may seem smaller but it's essential..

then place your target about 3 inches away...

let it focus (it should be able to now that you've not zoomed) and click away Wink

Nah i didn't use the zoom function. I went close to the subject matter but didn't really work for me. BUt anyway.. i'll work it out. When it comes.. if it comes.

i'll be getting a free iPod mini as soon as the stock comes... so i don't need an MP3 player

i'm not that much in demand at work (phew!) that i need a PDA... i've got pen and a notebook at work Wink

i don't like to use the internet except on a PC.. besides, getting connected on a mobile device is FRICKEN expensive...

what i need is an extremely slim phone that i can put in my pants pocket without looking really idiotic...
