Actually, whereabouts is everyone staying? I'm staying in the West, so actually going to Geylang area a bit inconvenient.... but I dunno where else got durian? Any suggestions?

Geylang is THE place where good foods gather. All makan places are within walking distance. Of course colourful types of people around. 
It is a Friday evening, abit of distance shouldn't be a problem. It is good to move out of the town area for a change.

I'm fine with geylang or chinatown... chinatown would be easier to walk down to town to get a drink after durians...

but can make a suggestion here, why dun you guys go to fulushou eat durian instead. You choose geylang gers will go or nt, it's not a big secret but many ladies not find the geylang bery "convienient" le.
at least fulushou nearby bugis can catch muv or go coffeehouse chit chat.
geylang ony other "clean" entertainment is LOR44 guillemard shopping center to play pool or lan gaming. -
