okay folks...I have recently been receiving this question from my well-meaning friends and relatives...and its irritating the hell out of me!!
Do you single guys and gals (of a certain age and maturity) get this? How do you answer them? -

Been rejected twice b4 due to ....I not handsome enough. No car. Wear specs.
So each year during the CNY first 2 days, I usually hangout at bookstores, cinema etc etc just to avoid my relatives...
Not I don't want to look for one but sg gals very high standards leh. What r your views bear? -

Really loh.. I'm very frustrated...my gal pals are all married and they dont get why I'm not...try explaining to them my reasons and they dont get it...my reasons so far....I'm not willing to settle for tom,dick or harry....I'm not sure marriage is the best thing for me....I'm not sure I believe in a love that can last the whole of my life, I dont ever want a divorce...I may be missing the best thing that could happen in a life....I'm going through some existential relationship angst....they just dont get it...everytime we meet this comes up and I'm getting tired of it!
Talk to my parents and its one whole big drama...( I told my mum I dont even ever want to marry....out of anger I think...not sure about that) and the mother starts shedding tears and telling me I giving her an ealry death and shes going to the grave without seeing grandchildren and I will get old and ugly very quickly....blah... blah... blah... I havent even told her the I dont want children part...that will be another 1hr long distance call....sigh....
how do you guys deal with this or am I the only one?? -

"you want me to marry someone just to please you and to procreate for you, but not for love and then start to hate each other, separate and then have a cold war, while the child suffers, hates everyone, becomes a delinquent, while myself and my ex-wife become bitter and angry... and die alone, desperately unhappy...
just because you want a grandchild?

i hv got a guy fren who knows how to drive, but refuse to buy a car. reason cos he dun wan the gal to accept him becos he has a car... guess wat, finally at age 33 he found his gal... now he owns a car! -

I was told that I'm not supposed to return home without a man this year for Chinese New Year cos my cousins are all married and it will be embarressing....well, I'm not going back!!!
You would think that with all the education they put into me and the lessons on independence and self-sufficiency that they would support me in what I want to do with my life and not do this to me....why do I suddenly need a man to complete me??!! and I'm only 29 this year!!! crap!! cant imagine what its gonna be like when I hits the 30's!!
