Well said, kops! I shall try to remember that, especially on those cold, winter days when I don't feel like exercising!Originally posted by kops21:we over makan.that is the reasons we need to exercise more. Sadly exercising is like telling a person he has over eat, which he has the same amount of food for years.
I dont read on the calories burn on the machine as i exercise not to reduce weight, rather to keep fit.Dont treat workout as an exercise, treat it like a daily task like brushing ur teeth. U will find it meaningful and enjoyable.
As long as you enjoy the kind of exercise, it is good. Nevertheless preferably cardio type of exercise.
I have folks telling me that playing golf is enough for their exercise. U know it is tiring walking and playing 18 holes leh....
I dont know whether to laugh or cry when i heard this.
Different strokes for different folks, kops!Originally posted by kops21:we over makan.that is the reasons we need to exercise more. Sadly exercising is like telling a person he has over eat, which he has the same amount of food for years.

if u treat exercise as part of ur daily routine, rain or shine, u r up for it.Originally posted by SydneyLibrarian:Well said, kops! I shall try to remember that, especially on those cold, winter days when I don't feel like exercising!
i agree that little exercise is better than no exercise. Adequate is the key.Originally posted by Rhonda:Different strokes for different folks, kops! Some folks would be total couch potatoes without their golf so if it gets them off the couch and moving, 'tis good enough!
Just like, I don't exercise 'seriously', as in, do the proper stuff that would buff me up and make me lose weight... I still tend to choose to attend classes that I enjoy and like. That's cause I'd rather keep exercising and doing what I enjoy than do stuff I abhor and resent and then give up exercising altogether.
Makes sense or not? hehehe!Part of my thwarted logic!

exercise can be fun, if you have the right attitude or with a bunch of kaki doing it together.Originally posted by the Bear:does not hide the fact that exercise is boring and a chore..
i'd be lying to myself if i said that time spent in the gym or running is enjoyable
dunno about you people, but to me: no pain = GOOD!
Is that the reason ur tongue is feeling blue....Originally posted by True_Xerion:my record from 3 yrs back was 1kg in under 2hrs .... dun think i wanna face massive fever & sore throat again

no pain= no gain.
our body is aging, its like going against the flow of current. if you have no pain=> u r not maintaining ur fitness.![]()
Let me introduce to my friends = The KL Penguin....Link to their BlogOriginally posted by the Bear:exercise is fun only when you're doing something like playing tennis...
running is not fun.. swimming isn't either.. they're terminally boring to me... unless a rabid dog is chasing me, i ain't running... but then, i'd probably kick it to death
diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks...
and if you keep saying you're fat to push exercise again, even fewer people will believe you coz if you're fat, the healthy would have to be anorexic and about to snap into two... and by asking people to exercise, pushing "healthy living" while saying you're fat when you are not, is just plain irresponsible...
think about it...
BAN BAN BAN!!!!!! Calling people a dog!!!!!!Originally posted by the Bear:i ain't talkin' about runnin' anymore...
i'm talkin' about the irresponsibility of people saying they are fat, when they are not... driving other people who are usually with low self-esteem into stupid things like anorexia...
and making people who are overweight feel even worse about themselves..
it's like a millionaire telling those who are barely able to get by, with children they're just able to feed, that he's desperately poor...
that is what you are doing...
please... push your healthy lifestyle thing.. don't ram it down other people's throats and telling everyone that you're fat...
you can run all you want.. i still think running is for the dogs.. but that's me...
however, you are NOT fat, so stop telling everyone you are...
you may have been fat in the past, but you are NOT anymore...

I totally agree. Kops, to get people over to your group to start living a healthy lifestyle, instead of calling yourself 'fat', start sharing your testimony about how you got from 'fat' to 'fit' and I think we'd find it more inspiring.Originally posted by the Bear:i ain't talkin' about runnin' anymore...

Calling yourself 'fat' constantly when you are so trim and fit ... that's really not in good taste and like what Bear said above, does nothing to get converts for the healthy lifestyle movement.

Are you a very physics person, ShrodingersCat?Originally posted by ShrodingersCat:Hmm. heheh.. it's true how some people on the net
always 'spoil market' by saying they very ugly or very fat
and in the end actually look quite sweet and not fat at all!
Then in the end, the really chubby ones try desperately to convince
buayas that they really ARE chubby, but buaya have HOPE that this is going
to be another one of those play hard to get ones
and when finally meet up
poor chubby girl's self esteem plummet cos from lots of attention
to zero attention in no time at all...
But oh yeah.. talking about exercising!
Anyone into like ... trekking, camping stuff here?
I think that's fun...
Heee... on the contrary...Originally posted by EricDraven:Are you a very physics person, ShrodingersCat?![]()
Woohoo, ok...Originally posted by ShrodingersCat:Heee... on the contrary...
but having read about the Shrodingers Cat
I, err, feel it is like a metaphor about Art
The artist puts the cat and a radioactive message into the box and the viewer/audience tries to find the answer.
yet, every interpretation is an interaction that would change the meaning of the piece of Art irrevocably
Plus I like cats.I am sure there's a physical explanation for that
