Isn't Mdm Tham the Geography tutor? I was in Class AA1, the ArtOnes, and in my first year, I was offering Literature 'S' Paper when Mdm Tham came up to me and said if I did well in my finals for Year 1, she'll allow me to offer Geography 'S' Paper as well.Originally posted by wd1:im frm ri.... in acjc now.
to rhona, kualibaba & all former acjc folks. i wonder if u all know Madam Tham?
she lectured us for plant transport until last wk =P
I sure had no regrets attending a girls' school in my teenage years. We were free to say and do whatever we liked and get away with doing tomboyish stuff too! hehe!Originally posted by foxwalk:Dunno Mrs Loo. There is a Veronica Seah though. Always wearing either black, gold, or red. Underwear too! We always saw her underwear!
yes I did the waistband thingy, started around sec 2. I was in track and field (dunno if during your time, there was a Mr Samat). I didn't really know any boys in sec school... haha....but when I went to JC, those ACS boys said we crescent girls were ugly..
Very fun and naughty times in Crescent.. I think it's good for a teenage girl to go to a girls' school. Girls' schools will teach the girls to be more ocnfident and outspoken and not be made submissive by the patriachal society... I also fell in love with Literature when I was in Crescent. I remembered we went to Orchard quite often cuz the school was jus like 10 mins bus ride to Orchard..
Did you slap that guy? U seem glad that it actually happens.Originally posted by Rhonda:I sure had no regrets attending a girls' school in my teenage years. We were free to say and do whatever we liked and get away with doing tomboyish stuff too! hehe!
Did the ACS boys say Crescent girls were ugly? pthpthpth... but then again, when I was in JC, a lot of them fell head over heels for the hiao hiao girls esp those from MGS or SCGS and I remembered once, I even saw an ACS guy chasing a hiao hiao MGS girl outside the old library and I mean literally chasing like playing police-and-thief. My classmates and I were . hehehe!!
I met an ACS guy in college who became my college boyfriend and one darn embarrassing thing he did was to sneak up on me when my friends and I were walking down the stairs and he grabbed hold of my bra strap and snapped it, then guffawed and bounded down the stairway!!! I was sooooooooo because his friends were laughing so darn hard behind us. Good thing the strap held! hahahahaha!!!!!
Aiyah... it was all done in the name of fun. We were known as a couple back then and it was one of the sweetest periods of my life. Life was simpler and more straightforward then...Originally posted by kops21:Did you slap that guy? U seem glad that it actually happens.

my mom taught there, not sure from when till 1993 or 94Originally posted by foxwalk:Rhonda, I was from Crescent Girls too!!!! COOL!
oh maybe my mom taught u b4.Originally posted by Rhonda:Foxwalk, you're from Crescent Girls' too?? I have so much grrrrrrrreat memories there!! Of course, the old school compound has been razed to the ground donkey years ago now and I've never stepped into the new compound before. The hill where the school is sited on now used to be Belvedere Primary School and we used to troop up there once a year for our dental checkups.
They also razed the two-storey building that housed our Science Labs and Home Economics classes. So sad... I was up to mischief a lot in the Science Labs and Home Econs was one of my favourite classes in Sec 1 and 2, esp the cookery classes! hehehe! Sometimes, after the classes, we get to eat our hand-made stuff during our break...even though it might look awful, taste bleah and sometimes, chao tah! hahaha!!
Which years were you there? I was there from 1985-1988.

I remember when I was in sec sch, some playful boys did this to a girl, think they were betting or something..daring each other..so one guy went to grab hold of the girl's bra strap and snapped it lor. And u know what? the girl's father was very angry..the girl went crying and complaining..then they guys involved were forced to make a public apology to the girl during assembly..not sure whether they kena caned or not..cant remember..
I know. I'm not saying that she is the girl.Originally posted by HENG@:this one was her BF. so nothing will happen
im not saying that she's the girl. im pointing out that generally if u go up to a girl who has no relationship with u, and snap her bra, it CAN be viewed as sexual harressment.Originally posted by browniebaobao:I know. I'm not saying that she is the girl.
