The Five Balls of Life

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air.
You name them - work, family, health, friends and spirit - and youÂ’re keeping all of these in the air.
Work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.
But the other four balls - family, health, friends, and spirit are made of glass.
If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same.

Anyways, that wasn't why it aroused my interest, reeeely! 
That was the first time I heard of the Five Balls of Life but I guess I had my own enlightenment period a few years back when a series of unfortunate events conspired to nudge me, nope, more like shoved me into the realisation that work wasn't all there was to life. Suffice to say that it started a spiral where I ended up shedding the unnecessary ruffles in my life and saw them get sucked into the vortex whilst retaining the stuff that truly matters.
My career change is one of the huge changes that occured due to that period of transformation. -
