Oooh yeah. We're already house-hunting over the net, and we've found some nice townhouses for rent. Anyway, once we get settled in, it looks like we're going to get a few visitors from Singapore. I'm going to find some time to take a drive down to Sydney once all the dust settles. -

Love NZ and AU too. But those places are more expensive and need more time. Malaysia can provide frequent inexpensive relaxation for me without much planning. I've moved most of my stuff there over the last ten years, so at worst, a couple of 25 kg boxes will do the trick. As for buying, I'm in no real hurry. -

When we first moved over we packed all our stuff in 6 20kg boxes & shipped them over... took about a month, but we sure saved alot using the post office's services rather than the movers! -

I had most of my stuff shipped over in the first year in a big crate. I had a contact in a cargo company at the time, so I saved stacks on the shipping cost. I'll need to ring DHL and see what the cost of sending a Jumbo Box to Melbourne is, and hopefully it won't take more than a week. -
Do short trips pretty often ... to Bangkok, KL, Melaka ...
Bangkok is favorite ... with the cheap budget airfare plus can stay at frenz apt, & cheap n good food and fantastic shopping ...
Malaysia good for drives up the NS highway ... good thrill to rev up the car an burn some carbon, not to mention the great food as well -

Just got back from visiting Malacca with a friend. That was my 4th visit but everytime, there's something new to discover. -
