eh...so in singapore, where to go for detoxification??
Ohh...i mean enema....i.e. they push water or chemicals into your bowels to allow you to excrete?
does it involve enigma? drinking tea? massage? steaming? etc?
btw how much?

Enemas work by irritating the bowels so that muscular contractions are initiated and thus, the contents in the lower intestines are pushed out.
Enemas should not be abused as frequent use of them has nasty adverse effects like bowel incontinence or chronic constipation.
BTW, how effective do you think a detox program can be if you don't follow up with a change in lifestyle? If there's no subsequent change in diet and other habits, then very soon, the toxins will start to build up again. -

Have to maintain and change in some lifestyle in order to be healthy.
But of course you can still eat some unhealthy and oily food once in a while to satisfy yourself

I guess I just wanted to emphasise that whilst detoxification is a good idea, you have to be selective over the programs. Make sure that you're not doing anything that in the long run, causes harm to your body, especially if the program involves you taking pills and imbibing dubious fluids or having funny invasive procedures done, anal or otherwise. hehehehe!!!Originally posted by pqr:Correct, detox program is the same as exercising to keep fit.

the human colon does not need to be 'cleansed' there HAS to be a certain bacteria level there for it to work properly. but alas.. alot of people are misinformed into believing a clean colon is a good colon.
take an analogy.... car engine, if there is no engine oil, the squeeky clean pistons will jam and everything will spoil. -
