  on a more serious note, dun wanna sound cliched, but the best marriage proposal is from the man you love.
  
  i'd want him to put in effort and time to plan it properly as it belies his sincerity and intentions. no need to be overly grandiose or a public declaration. just something sweet, sincere and well-thought out.
  
  afterall, it's something that both of us want to look back with fond memories and go aww... when we talk about it. now we wouldn't say aaaawwww to "let's go apply for a flat ba", would we?
