The flexible robot, the first of its kind developed in the world, can swim by wriggling its body, said Toshiharu Mukai, head of a research team at the Bio-Mimetic Control Research Center of the government-backed research institute Riken. (Kyodo News)

there was a robot made by the japanese that could swim like a fish...theyre trying to implement it in submarine design due to the immense forward power produced with no/little waste....thus making it efficient

Hmm... if the robot drowns, do we have to perform CPR on it too?
