i dunno.. never thought of it like that..
i think it could be bliss sometimes when both are immobile with inertia and are happy about it...
and it could be hell sometimes when both are immobile with inertia and need to do stuff
but i think, it would be nice.. if we can get over the sloth and the total and utter blurness to find each other -

From experience, it's incredibly fun but also incredibly chaotic.
I'm sure the other forumites who know me would shudder at a double-dose of my mania. Staying up till the wee hours of the morning free-associating. Driving through pea-soup fog on a twisty country road at 130 km/h. Waking the neighbourhood up while playing on a swing at 4 in the morning.
It was a gas, but not something that was meant to last. The flame that burns brightest burns shortest, after all. -
If you love yourself, it would be bliss... if you don't, it'll be torture! hehehe!
Seriously though, there are some things where similarities are vital. For instance, moral values, or religion. If you love peace and quiet and your idea of relaxation is to stay home doing sedate things whilst your partner loves rowdiness and outdoor activities, then there'll be a huge disparity. Sooner or later, you'll grate on each other's nerves.
In other things, it's important to stay different. You can in fact end up playing complimentary but opposite roles. For instance, an aggressive person might tone down his / her stance when faced with a calm and collected person. Can you imagine the turmoil if aggressive meets aggressive? Or can you imagine the standstill and absolute inactivity that might occur when Type C meets Type C?
There's no tried and tested formula. I guess it depends on the alchemy between the two. The willingness to compromise and the severity of the differences also comes into play.

Nah, not really. There were issues that neither of us could do anything about, and that ultimately led us to deciding that we'd be better off as friends. I won't go into those issues except to say that neither of us is to blame. OK, I think it'll be great to be with someone like me. Because I'll know that the person won't be playing senseless mind games nor jealousy games but will be frank and straightforward. I'll also be assured of his loyalty and devotion if he's like me!
Also, since I've got many different moods and interests, it'll mean that there's a wide spectrum of things we'd be able to do to entertain ourselves with.
Hmm... and also, since he'll be similar to me, it'll mean that we'll share the same level of preferences for PDA's, right? (Public Displays of Affection). So, no jostling and discomfort there!
BUT...

I've a few friends I've known for almost two decades now. Going to celebrate our happy 20th anniversary in a few years' time!
