I like Borders best.... cos they give me 25% discount on certain days!
I prefer Kinokuniya and Sunny.Originally posted by Rhonda:Which is it?
Kinokuniya? Borders? Times the Bookshop? Popular?
Mine's a close fight between Kinokuniya and Borders. Lately, it's been Kinokuniya though cause their foreign mags are cheaper than at Borders.

Borders seems to attract poseurs.. no offence intended.
Kinokuniya has to be the best ... layout is nice with a huge variety of books... the shelves, decor and other non-book items displayed are interesting too... and of course the variety of books available is humongous... the only bad thing is the price (despite all their "discounts")..... there are poseurs there too..Originally posted by foxwalk:I prefer Kinokuniya and Sunny.

I prefer the old Kino at Shaw.. I used to go there a lot after school.Originally posted by DriftingGuy:Kinokuniya has to be the best ... layout is nice with a huge variety of books... the shelves, decor and other non-book items displayed are interesting too... and of course the variety of books available is humongous... the only bad thing is the price (despite all their "discounts")..... there are poseurs there too..
Popular, more of a stationary mart but loses out completely in terms of decor and variety to kino... however definitely one of the lowest prices for books
Borders, same pricing as kino yet loses in terms of depth and variety of books...
Anyone mentioned comics connection for comic books??
yah. They got discount card. But 10% only...so pathetic...Originally posted by the Bear:Borders is cool.. but not sure if they have a discount card.. and heck! i don't have one of theirs anyway
Kinokuniya is wonderful for their sheer range.. and heck.. the discount card has paid itself many times over
still does not stop me from buying books from other shops.. coz when you gotta read, you gotta read
