Why not just stick to samsung??
Well.. if u like Samsung the E70 though outdated by singapore standards is not bad.Originally posted by the Bear:nope.. when it comes to purchases, i'm lazy
now i really need one coz the crack's really bad and the buttons are becoming kinda retarded.. it's on its last legs
you seldom get honest saleman these days.Originally posted by the Bear:today, after my chiropractor's appointment, i was heading home in a bus when it started to rain..
so i figure, i'm not going to walk in the rain... so i stopped at clementi to see if i can get a new mobile phone to replace my old cracked up phone..
went into the shop and looked around.. this dude asked me what i needed...
so i showed him my old cracked up phone.. he suggested i repair it... i declined saying that it's not worth the time, or the money to repair an old phone which is on its last legs, and all cracked...
he went on about where the samsung service centres were.. until i said "hey, it's not worth repairing.. i wanna get a new phone"
then he asked if i wanted a phone and if the 2-year contract was still ongoing.. i said no.. so he started showing me the Nokia phones.. i said i didn't like nokia phones as almost all my friends who had nokia phones were disgusted by how bad they were..
so this dude went on and said "nevermind if spoilt, nokia got a lot of service centres"
i was stunned for a while...
then i said, i would like to have a look at the motorola razr... okay. this is a premium phone.. probably their margins would be higher.. he said they don't sell it.. then went on and on about motorola having only one service centre... and that because of that, i should never consider motorola phones
i said that it's not the number of service centres.. a good product is one where you don't have to go to the service centres at all.. he didn't seem to understand that.. and said that with Nokia, service centres were near, nevermind if spoilt..
with that, i gave my thanks and walked out...
i wonder if shopkeepers are so dense everywhere coz i don't shop much...
here i was, someone who is looking for a mobile and he's trying to turn away business by telling me to get my current phone repaired!
then he tries to dissuade a customer from premium models..
and hasn't a clue that a good product = happy customer, not products where they break down and you then have the convenience of repairing them over and again...
well, maybe the should learn a thing or three about doing business before actually starting one?
That's true.. after you told him that you didn't care to repair your phone. hahaah. He kept suggesting you repair it and sold phones according to the repair centre availability!! Gosh.. who repairs phones these days.. it's buy and throw away society.Originally posted by the Bear:dunno how "honest" he is..
one can be honest and still make a profit..
but i thought he was kinda dense as he hasn't a clue what customers want..
Moto Razr V3 is 98gm & 13.9mm. I like it slim & its aluminium finish.. Cool!Originally posted by the Bear:okay.. tempted by another phone..
