Went out with a girl the other day , then she told me her expectation is very simple just want a guy who has a stable job and sincere to her . Then she bumped into her friend , her friend hubby live in a bungalow and drive a BMW
Then she told how she envy her friend and wish she can get a bf like her fren... my heart break liao.... haiZZZ -

I guess in the past, guys are brought up with the mindset that they are the provider for the family.
However, I do know some guys who said they don't mind if they end up being a househusband and their wife is rich and bringing home the bread and butter -

The guys will complain that local girls are materialistic whilst the girls will complain that sg guys are chauvinistic or they place a huge emphasis on beauty.

OK, another take on this evergreen issue...
If Shallow goes out in search of Shallow and finds Shallow in the process, then Shallow shouldn't complain about Shallow being Shallow after a few Shallow years of being together in a very Shallow kind of way because afterall, if you seek Shallow, you get Shallow and Shallow is as Shallow does...
