i think this is the only movie i really REALLY wanna watch..
An adaptation of Frank Miller's stories based in the fictional town of Sin City. Chief amongst the town's residents is Marv, who trawls the darkest areas of town looking for the person who killed his one true love, Goldie.
Directed by Robert Rodrigues and Frank Miller himself!
taken from the Frank Miller comics.. almost pure noir!

The movie is apparently going to be 90% black-n-white with only a 'gangrenous form of yellow (is) allowed to peep through the black-and-white scenery surrounding a yellow monster...' This apparently pays tribute to one of the Sin City comics, 'The Yellow Bastard'.
And then, because there's also 'The Babe Wore Red', 'womenÂ’s lips are garish-red, though everything that surrounds them is in black and white'.
Sounds visually arresting already!
Whaddaya know... the movie boasts THREE directors! Frank Miller, the man himself (he's the creator of the graphic novels), Robert Rodriguez of Spy Kids fame and Quentin Tarantino!!! woohoo!!! The latter is 'a “guest director” whose approach to comic violence appears to have been a major influence'.
Apparently, if you liked Kill Bill Vol. I and II (which I happened to like despite its macabre and gruesome nature ), you'll most likely take to this movie.

Saw the trailers when I was in the cinema today and WHOA!! It is DEFINITELY a movie to catch!
If my memory served me well, the movie is slated for release on May 21. -
