Farm Art is free, no entrance fee....its a collective of individual farmers and businesses who have their own plots/businesses there. theres also guided tours of the farm but these have to be prearranged and i believe a small fee is charged for them...never took one, just wandered around on our own...the people on the farms are all quite friendly....I know th bee farm charges a fee of $0.50 per person for a tour... -

Hello again Club 30! Its one of those days where I drop by to write some nonsense again....
I was at Farmart some weeks back for dinner at Cheng's Seafood. I found the food salty and not that good. Price was about the same as any other seafood restaurant (I didn't pay, so I don't have the fine details). I would say eat at your own risk. But then again, when you're in a group chatting away....food is quite secondary, right?
You may want to know that just opposite Cheng's Seafood, there is a western type cafe with pool tables. They serve drinks and some simple food - sandwiches, fish & chips, Italian bak chor mee (aka spaghetti), etc.....and supposedly genuine Italian gelato.
There's a little zoo there too, but I'm not sure if its open. There's shrimping to be done there too. (catch fish = fishing.....catch shrimps = shrimping).

If I'm not wrong, Farmart still has those hydrophonic lettuces that sell for $10 a bag (you can pick as many as you want). Very enjoyable experience!

Qianhu is the ideal place to go for Arowana fanatics.. lots and lots of Arowanas on display, including some that are horribly deformed (that may even raise a few goosebumps in the uninitiated.. heehee) which are even rarer and more highly prized than the rest.
Occassionally, they also have oddballs like stingrays, sturgeons and odd turtles and fishes that u'll probably not find elsewhere.
Personally i find that although its worth going to have a look at the oddities on display, the items on sale there are way overpriced.. can probably get the same stuff much cheaper elsewhere. -
