It's Spring in Singapore.Lots of flowers but sadly the weather won't keep them there for too long..
Mom won an Olympus camera once with neat zoom lenses and I got my pal Leslie to teach me how to take night shots.
We stood at Benjamin Sheares Bridge one night, just being trigger-happy, taking shots of the Shenton night skyline and the Singapore River. Can't find the photos now but if I could, I'll post them here to share.
I also went to the Botanical Gardens armed with that camera, taking close-ups of the flora there. I love flowers and managed to get a few pretty neat close-ups. Well, they aren't professional-looking at all and I would've loved to get the camera to zoom in more but oh well, we work round our limitations. In any case, the camera was FREE so, cannot hiam! hehe!
Whilst trying to get those shots, I often found myself in odd positions and sometimes, even had to sit on the grass and contort myself. hehehe! But well, when you think you've got a good angle, you just don't care.
I think I tried to get a shot of a dragonfly perched on a large lily pad and for that, I kinda laid down on my side on the grass and stone at the edge of the pond.
That camera chose to die on me when I was one of the few lucky ones who managed to get invited to a TY Beanie Babies Launch of their very first series of Asia-Pacific Beanies.
I even painstakingly arranged the beanies with the cherry blossoms, chinese fans and what-not props they left there and made the display so beautiful but then, the photos were all ruined.
I can't wait to get my very first digicam! I'll be going around Singapore again, being trigger-happy.
