Rhonda wanna come help me with mineOriginally posted by Rhonda:Actually, since this thread has diverted to the topic of cleaning and housework, maybe I'd like to add that housework and laundry and cleaning up can be viewed as a form of destressing.
I kinda like to clean bathrooms and toilets because you can play with water at the same time. Lots of possibilities... How about cleaning your bathroom / toilet in your swimwear? You'll never dread cleaning these places again!
Laundry day can be therapeutic too. Just start singing at the top of your lungs as you load the washing machine and then whilst waiting for the cycle to end, start mopping / wiping the windows / whatever... Sometimes, I'd go tease the cat in the meantime!
I used to do dreadful chores like ironing whilst watching TV. I get a seat, arrange the ironing board to an appropriate height, then iron paying more attention to the TV than to the task. Distraction can be a good tool to wield.
I used to enjoy doing housework with my flatmates. There's just something about working together to keep your habitat clean and comfy.

As promised, one day, I'll invite you and Elindra over to my place and I'll cook for you!

I agree about housework being therapeutic! I enjoy doing housework & take pride in making my place spick & span. Helps especially when I get boiling mad over something & I whip out my cloth & detergent & clean, clean, clean!Originally posted by Rhonda:Actually, since this thread has diverted to the topic of cleaning and housework, maybe I'd like to add that housework and laundry and cleaning up can be viewed as a form of destressing.
