OK, the new (not-so-new by now) oven by GE that I mentioned is called the TRIVECTION oven. It apparently combines three cooking methods in one - A Dash of Thermal. A Pinch of Convection. A Hint of Microwave.

spent $140 on a dvd writer last aug
spent $107 on a ext HDD which can be deemed useless
planning to fork $3/mth on a cable channel where i only watch 6hrs/week.
planning to fork out <$120 on a graphics card when i have a lousy LCD and a pair of eyes -

Absolutely no idea... not even sure that it's available in Singapore yet. I think it was launched about a year or so ago to huge aplomb in the US. Unless you are talking about the new one which uses water technology which is about 800+ - 900+
The new rice cookers are nice but I still prefer the old looking retro looking ones because they are easier to clean. We have a new one in our place and it is a pain to clean
