Are you a shift-worker? (NO "s" after "worker" as you asked about "a", therefore it's singular)

well, i'm one.. now doing the graveyard shift...
i do get shift allowances in the tune of night-duty allowances which are calculated according to how many hours of "night-duty" we perform.
as for public holidays, my junior officers get paid extra, but since i don't get overtime pay, i get to claim a day's time-off whenever i can...
we have no such things as weekends..
i need a new gig

u dont get paid for working shifts? u mean u dont get paid EXTRA for working shifts? but why should one be paid extra for working shifts? i guess u mean there are workers in your company who dont work shifts, and there are those who work shifts. each has its own peculiarities, downsides and upsides. anyway what kind of a shift-off system is your company practising?Originally posted by Hyperion13:We don't get paid for working shifts. Stupid company policies. Are you working now? I am, but I am going to take a quick nap later.
