Pet Peeve?

I'm sure everyone has a pet peeve that irks and irritates the hell out of them.
Ok, this is pretty much of a rant because I've been bottling up this complaint for a while.
What never fails the irritate the hell of me is stupid able-bodied people who like to stop in front of the escalator, when they step off it, during peak hour!!!!!
I mean, gimme a break!!! Why the hell do you want to stop there? Is there a pot of gold in front for you to bend over to pick up? I mean if it is an elderly person it's fine. We know that they can't move that quickly, but it is real irritating when an able-bodied healthy adult stands there like a statue, not moving, while everyone behind has to stop themselves from crashing into the moron.
To make matters worse, these inconsiderate twats love to chat with their "long time no-see" friends in front of the escalator as well. At times, I feel like hurling myself at them and say," Oops, I didn't see you."
Anyways, enough of my rants but I have been meeting morons like these extremely frequently.

Road Hoggers!!!! People who drive at 60 in the 2nd or 3rd lanes on the highway during peak hours!!!!
They make me rant and rave to myself through out the whole journey! -
how about those in the bus.... they board the bus.... spotted a seat infront... but dun want to sit down... proceed to walk reaaaaaaaaaaaally slowly to see if there's seats at the back.... if there really isn't any... then they sit down infront.... blardy block the pathway.... i wanna PIAK them....

another is something i've been experiencing lately with buses... the bus which travels at about 40km/h throughout the whole trip -

btw what is the meaning of 'hubbers'? -
People who anyhow dumped their furniture/rubbish inside the lift.

A few years back, a very vain young girl stepped off the escalator and proceeded to stop and flick her hair, trying to look cute or something. She forgot that she wasn't the only one using the public escalator and my granddad happened to be behind her by two steps or so. He wanted to ask her to get out of the way but her reaction was too slow so he tripped and fell right in front.
The girl was shocked to know that her vanity had caused my granddad's fall. He ended up being hospitalised for two weeks and after being discharged, could no longer walk like before.
So, yes, the pet peeve you mentioned is also my pet peeve. There's just a general disregard for other people nowadays. There's a pervasive, 'I, Me, and Mine' selfish mentality here. Sad, isn't it? -

they think its very cool..

then walk very slowly... -
Yet another pet peeve - people who litter or spit onto the public corridors or walkways.
The latter is soooooo unhygienic!! And yet, in this day and age, there are STILL people who will spit in public, right onto the pavement!!
I had neighbours who'd do that to the public corridor and one day, after tolerating this obnoxious, dirty behaviour for two years, I marched right up to his apartment, hollered at him and gave him hell and he was
that the usually quiet and seemingly meek me had the gumption to face up to him so he kept quiet, and never dared do it ever again.
'Course, I made sure to wear red, roll up my sleeves, put my arms akinder to make myself look physically bigger, narrow my eyes to a menacing slit, all that jazz... part of the Academy-Award winning performance!!!
Moral of the story - Never EVER underestimate a Scorpio... especially a female one!

But it is really an accident waiting to happen.
Like your granddad, if it is an elderly person behind or a young child.
Really have no idea what those people are thinking.

I dunno why but I keep bumping into ppl who like to stand in front of the escalator and ppl who like to take up the whole pathway lately. -
actually, i wonder about escalators...
at where i work there are HUGE lifts... signs everywhere (including luminous signs) with pictures telling people to use the lifts if they are carrying luggage or are elderly...
so 2 nights ago, there's this elderly lady (with her whole sewing circle), lugging an unreasonable amount of luggage, fell at the escalators... and get this: she was just discharged from the hospital after a BYPASS!!
so, to test out the new bypass, her silly friends decide to TAKE A PUBLIC BUS with LOADS of luggage and rushing about, lugging the whole lot of luggage up the escalator!!
she fell and almost had a bloody heart attack and had to sit in my office for about half an hour!
and guess what? she and her friends refused our offer of calling an ambulance.. and worse, they actually went ahead with their trip!!
points:
1. if you are loaded with stuff or are elderly, and there are lifts around, USE THEM!
2. fricken get well and don't let a trip cost you your life
3. don't be stupid to travel using a mode you cannot physically handle (especially after a BYPASS!)
4. sewing circles are dumb.. don't listen to them... -

usually i will give a stern "excuse me!" 2 steps b4 i hit them and elbow my way out if they are deaf... strange how 'deaf' ppl can chat and rattle on.....

I hate those who don't understand the simplest thing, let ppl alight first from the MRT!!
A lot of times, I encountered morons who piled up in front of the door of the MRT. I stepped on a few of them, pushed a couple out of the way, nearly run over a guy over becos I was in really bad mood that day -

I have absolutely no grace when it comes to this.
I'd say "excuse me" loudly and they'd better move quick else I plough my way through. This is where hefty size and weight comes in handy

she was just at the door but as soon as the door open a young man try to push his way in! she fed up, push him back and stand at the door with hands on her hips.... now she's blocking everyone frm alighting AND boarding....
"you young man, study so much (he was in shirt and tie) dunnoe wat's the yellow box for har? dunnoe how to let ppl go off 1st issit? ppl dun alight, how u get on??" everyone stared at him so he LL step aside and let my mum alight 1st....
mum said alot of ppl behind her left the train with a satisfied smile! heheheheee.......
