wah!! so nice of u to sacrifice ur stomach to hold the 30 crab bodies...Originally posted by the Bear:moulting is when critters with external skeleton or scales shed their skin or shell so that they can grow...
and 30 crabs? it's the bodies of the crabs everyone else eats coz if everyone eats just the pincers, who is going to eat the bodies?
that I do not know!!Originally posted by Axelheat755:wow~

contradicting opinion...Originally posted by Kenashi:the crab has regenerating ability like a lizard, when u cut off its legs, it will shed its shell to grow their legs back!!

I don't think their pincers can grow back that fast unless u all like to eat preserved pincersOriginally posted by tare:anyone rear crabs??!!!
then one can supply 30pairs for the rest of us and bear can eat 1 body (crab)! hahahahaha
Originally posted by coolger03:wah!! so nice of u to sacrifice ur stomach to hold the 30 crab bodies...
rear 15 crabsOriginally posted by Kenashi:I don't think their pincers can grow back that fast unless u all like to eat preserved pincers
Originally posted by Axelheat755:rear 15 crabs
den u can have a periodic crab pincer feast each time the crabs regenerate
oooh... hehhe... thot very fast oopsOriginally posted by choco B:coolger03: Haha I dunno how long, but I think, pretty long
tare: As for growing 30 pairs of pincers before the Bear can eat 1 body... waaah it's a looong wait siah
Although, the idea of farming crabs for their pincers is abit gruesome...it's like farming body parts , keep the crabs barely alive just to dismember pincers, grow back, dismember, grow, etc. etc. :shudder:
Anyway I don't think it's commercially viable, that's why don't have such thing hehehe. Crabs still come whole... or so we are told ...hmmm
bite the 2 ends of the leg away and open it up in the middle. the meat will be there whole like otahOriginally posted by elindra:However, I have grown to prefer the leg area coz the meat is sweeter though it is a pain to eat
that's why some crabs have smaller claw is it?Originally posted by the Bear:i think the whole claw does not regrow completely each moult..
There will be pple who will join in for the bodies after the pincers were all taken...Originally posted by the Bear:moulting is when critters with external skeleton or scales shed their skin or shell so that they can grow...

Genetic engineering may be of help here... the only thing is will u still want to eat them by then...Originally posted by coolger03:yah lor... but too bad, crabs are not like lizards.... they dun re-grow their pincers....
