$34 per person, can eat one giant crab at no signboard per person...
i'm just being practical.. and also.. lazy

so far, across the border seems to be the most economical way to stuff ourselves silly with them critters
and nah.. just some way i ate once.. steamed crab with a little side of melted butter (i swear they put something else in that butter but i could not figure it out)

The Organiser is trying hard to get at least 10 people who are interested in going on Saturday, 14 May, so that for just S$75 per person (S$78 if we include $3 travel insurance), we can enjoy a 2D 1N Kukup Trip. back to the crabs.. see what our organiser says
- Two land transfers (Sin / Kukup / Sin)
- 1 night's accommodation at Kukup Water House Chalet
- One Light Dinner at Chalet (colleague told me when they went, it was bee hoon + chicken curry)
- One seafood BBQ dinner provided by the chalet owner
- One breakfast at the Chalet the next morning (usually Nasi Lemak)
- Seafood lunch at the Kukup Seafood Restaurant (here's where we can order extra crabs and eat to our heart's content!!)
- One boat ride to Kukup fish farms
- Karaoke, mahjong games etc at the chalet's indoor facilities.
Sounds enticing, folks? I've already called a few of you up and shall be eagerly awaiting your responses!
The tour agency will only organise this if the group has a minimum of 10 adults. Even if we can't get 10, I have a backup plan - we shall just make a day trip to Kukup ourselves, most likely via ferry. I can only get details about the ferry ride on Monday, when the ferry offices open.
I still don't have online access until next week, so please be patient if I do not respond to any queries immediately, ok? Alternatively, you guys know the faster way to reach me now, right? SMS!! -

Sadly, looks like Kukup is a no-go.
I called up the tour agency just now and realised that they've actually stopped ferry services to Kukup because of poor demand. I asked about getting there via land but the agency's bus to Kukup isn't in working condition right now.
Never knew it could get this difficult to try to get to Kukup! So near and yet, so far! -
