A sparrow was so busy mucking about that he forgot to fly south for winter. By the time he got started it was too cold, and he froze in midair and landed in a paddock.
While he was lying on the ground thinking, "That's it, I'm going to freeze to death here", a cow came along and took a dump right on top of the bird.
The warm dung defrosted the sparrow, and he got up and started singing in joy, thinking that he had another chance. A cat came along, heard the singing, grabbed the bird and ate it.
The morals of the story are:
1) Not everybody who sh!ts on you is an enemy
2) Not everybody who pulls you out of sh!t is a friend
3) When in deep sh!t, it's best to keep your mouth shut
