What I've learnt from Computer / Video Games

Oh, in Mario Bros, you learn that if you eat ALL mushrooms, you grow larger and stronger. Whatever happened to mom's advice that you cannot just pick stuff by the roadside, especially mushrooms, and eat them?

In Monopoly Tycoon, you learn that :
- You can build 12-storey buildings in a mere two hours... and they get erected by unfolding accordion pleats!
- Pricing is all a matter of perceived value and comparative analysis.
- Don't put all your eggs in one basket - diversify your investments and businesses! -
i've learnt in side-scrolling games where you brawl, if you kill some of the enemies, things like roast turkeys will miraculously appear.. and if you eat them, you will be healed immediately of your wounds
also, sometimes, if you slay an enemy, be it a dog, tiger or human, weapons pop up and you wonder why they didn't use the weapon on you in the first place...
and the boss is a big mutha-effer which is unreasonably powerful and can survive direct hits from cruise missiles, dragon fire, bazooka shells, and other scary things (rambo's a wimp compared to them) -

Oh, and in Quake, you learn you can carry soooo much stuff on you! hahaha! ANd then you can switch weapons and what not and never get clumsy enough and drop them.

The really funny thing is sometimes, when someone gets flung off, you see their faces getting closer and closer until they fill up your entire screen and you can see their face contorted in a silent scream as they get flung into oblivion... very very veeeeeeeery satisfying!!!
I'm quite a bitch... I can imagine a few folks I'd love to put on that Roller Coaster with sheer glee! -

i actually finished the first Quake!
it was bloody difficult! the fight to get to Shub-Niggurath was nearly impossible but i did it!! almost outta ammo when the last monster was fragged...
then to get the Shub-Niggurath was insane.. the stupid witch was actually a tree.. so i stood there and blasted it with the last of the ammo.. nothing happened...
was puzzled, went walking around and found nothing...
made my way carefully to the damned tree and started using the axe.. stood there and hacked away for about 10 minutes, nothing happened...
so i put a piece of eraser on the attack button and weighed it down, went to get something to eat...

I tried Quake once after watching my brother play.
I got stuck at the very first bit. After killing off the few monsters that were hanging around just begging to be blasted, I walked round and round ... and round and round some more... and then, more going round and round... and couldn't find any doors or switches or what not. Got soooo frustrated, I stopped playing. My brother was guffawing but refused to help nor give hints.
That was the first and last time I played Quake. Wait... or was that Doom? -
I learnt that even if u overwhelmed the AI with massive armies, u can still lose!!

Quake was after Doom...
Doom II was impossible to finish... at around that time, i was pretty good at FPS
the last one i played but did not finish (an ice age ago) was MDK.. that was fun

Yeah... and whilst fighting, they don't have a strand of hair out of place. And they never get disfigured or maimed. If they do get wounded, it even looks sexy... like they'll get a pirate eye patch or something like that. 7. the hero is so strong that he can withstand many bullet hits, he is so agile and quick that he can put bullet shots into several enemy heads before they even hit him. however, he can accidentally fall to his death while going down ladders or doing a jump sometimes.

The heroines wear barely anything and yet, they can dive deep into the ocean, then jump back up and run around and fight and all that... and they never come down with colds or pneumonias and all that...

Warcraft the AIT oso got a better advantage over me most of the time, their mines so near their townhall while mine need to travel very far n always ganna attack by a large force whenever I send out troops to find the enemy bases -
simple games aren't fun nor challenging...
if anyone hasn't realised it, you can cripple the enemy in warcraft if they only have one base by killing every peon you can see.. and keep killing them.. regardless the cost... they will be crippled..Originally posted by Kenashi:not all games lah!!

Size does matter!!!
In Command and Conquer, nothing is going to stop your army of 100 tanks from over running the base and causing massive mayhem.
