Nip-Tuck - All that Blood! All that Slicing!

As I was watching Nip-Tuck on TV just now, I was pretty surprised
to see that there were several scenes inside where the plastic surgeons were operating and they actually showed the bloody and gory bits! They showed the scalpel slicing someone's scalp, and then they inserted an instrument to separate the scalp from the skull... Everything was sooo realistic! 
Due to my profession, I can stomach such scenes but I can imagine my mom wincing and making comments like 'How can they show that on TV?!' and turning her face away from the TV with a huge frown.
I'm just wondering, how many of you watched that show and felt the operation scenes were gruesome and horrendous?
I thought it was educational, but I'm sure there are those who'd rather not have seen those scenes.

uhh.. like you, i've seen pretty gory things...
like people involved in accidents and all that.. pretty messy.. and i wasn't affected at all..
anyhooo... i'm not really the typical person so not the best guy to get feedback from -

i was a medic.. there were times people come into the med centre pretty messed up...

I'm OK with the graphic scenes on Nip/Tuck
I've seen uncensored operation scenes on other shows, like on an extreme makeover-style program on MTV.
There used to be a late night program on discovery (?) channel, a reality show filmed in a hospital emergency rooms. Some of the injuries and procedures shown were uncensored and bloody too. -
i for one CANNOT take all tat lor.... it's just too gross.... i channel surf when the promotional trailer of tat show comes on....
i just can't imagine why would ppl undergo ALL tat stuff?! i mean unless u have an accident or a disease tat disfigure u, otherwise issit really worth it in the name of vanity??
i still believe, there is no ugly woman just lazy woman.... and yes i'm fat cos i'm lazy.... -

That reality show you mentioned... is that available only for Digital Cable subscribers? I remember seeing that show listed and was considering subscribing to Digital Cable for that! -

I've watched Blepheroplasty being done (creating double-eyelids) and no thanks, I'm not going to put myself through that! It's different when you have the perspective of standing there, observing the entire procedure.
There is this one procedure I won't mind going for though... liposuction! -
i've got one colleague who can't stand the sight of spaghetti, HAHAHAHAHHA!
And he will confirm faint when he sees blood. Ain't it cool?

This type of thing cannot be calculated like maths one! I mean, how can you quantify stuff like that?
BTW, the most gruesome and horrifying show I've watched recently is 'Creep'. My word, that show scared the hell outta me! And that's coming from me, a horror and ghost movie fan!
Tare, you'd better not even think of watching 'Creep'! That show made me keep looking back over my shoulders to make sure no one's following me when I go home late at night after cheong'ing. It is THAT scary!! -
rarely watched a horror flick that scared me
maybe that's coz i'm deranged or something.. but i liked the Hellraiser Series.. more blood and gore than Nip/Tuck...
i liked Nip/Tuck.. how did this season's start.. last season, it ended when Christian found out his "child" was black... so it's interesting to see what happened -
