You're one brave squaw!
That reality show you mentioned... is that available only for Digital Cable subscribers? I remember seeing that show listed and was considering subscribing to Digital Cable for that!

wonder wat happen if they change their "idol"?Originally posted by choco B:And, the whole concept of this show is kinda freaky really... People who want so much to look like their idol (and therefore, be just as successful) that they're willing to go through major surgery.
Yep.. those r really stupid pple. Going thru tons of plastic to look like Brad Pitt but turn out anything but him. Lame. Changing oneself doesnt have to be such extreme. N where's one's on self-esteem n self-worth? If u dun even respect urself, then u r pathetic.Originally posted by tare:wonder wat happen if they change their "idol"?
no brainers.... like fashion, wat looks good on others doesn't necessarily look good on u....
i dun even think they like themselves in the 1st place, less respect.....Originally posted by Gackt247:Yep.. those r really stupid pple. It's juz a phase. Is all in the mind. Once u have hopped on n completed ur personal ego-trip, actions to improve oneself will follow. Been thru tt n done tt. My personal achievement. I used to dwell in self-pity. Not anymore.Originally posted by tare:i dun even think they like themselves in the 1st place, less respect.....

Thanks for the information, choco! I'm right - Discovery Health is only available on the Digital Tier here. Guess I won't be able to watch it in the near future.Originally posted by choco B:Trauma - Life in the ER is shown on Discovery channel.

I don't know if it's still running on cable now. It's a good show, but I thought you'd have seen enough live ER action at work to not want to watch more of the same on TV.
I've only felt that way after watching Ju-On (all the movies in the trilogy) and the recent movie, Creep. But, I have to be my own hero so I just walk real fast when I'm home, planning the fastest manoevre to get myself in the door and shut the gate before any horrible serial killer or apparition whatever can run / crawl into my house.Originally posted by tare:

wat is ur profession?Originally posted by Rhonda:As I was watching Nip-Tuck on TV just now, I was pretty surprised to see that there were several scenes inside where the plastic surgeons were operating and they actually showed the bloody and gory bits! They showed the scalpel slicing someone's scalp, and then they inserted an instrument to separate the scalp from the skull... Everything was sooo realistic!
Due to my profession, I can stomach such scenes but I can imagine my mom wincing and making comments like 'How can they show that on TV?!' and turning her face away from the TV with a huge frown.
I'm just wondering, how many of you watched that show and felt the operation scenes were gruesome and horrendous?
I thought it was educational, but I'm sure there are those who'd rather not have seen those scenes.
