It's coming to town, and I'm wondering if it's worth paying $15 a ticket to watch it... or should I just go & get the DVD?

I guess if you're a huge anime fan, then go ahead. Otherwise, you won't miss much waiting for the DVD to be released. I mean, it's going to cost you $30 + whatever snacks you buy... might as well get the DVD and watch unlimited times! -

I enjoyed watching the show although my missus preferred 'Spirited Away' (an earlier production). Its a nice show to watch even on DVD especially in the dead of the night cos you really want the soundtrack to go with the flow of the show.
now that i have watched the move, I am trying to look for the book by Dianne Wynne Jones and that's the biggest endorsement i can give! -

BTW, there's a really lovely piece of piano music in Howl's Moving Castle... I was humming it after watching the show. -

Movie tickets here are about $13 for adults. Buy on Tuesdays & half price. Free seating, though & the seats are like armchairs... really comfy! (I usually take up 2 seats.. haha one for me, one for my snacks ) -
yeah.. vid rentals are pretty cheap over there
and the movie tix are insane
about 10 years ago, student concession tix were A$8.50... so i figure A$15 is about right for normal tix now -
