The Food Fair was really packed to the brim! There were lots of food for sale and if it wasn't so terribly and awfully crowded and if only the dining area was larger, I would've eaten more but, too bad.
The satay was very very nice!
I also had one soft shell crab with a delectable chilli sauce for just $3! Walked past this fishball stand that sold eight fishballs for just $1 but that was too many fishballs for one person so I had to move on.
Regretted not buying some bak gua from the Bee Cheng Hiang stands there because the prices were reduced because we forgot. Sigh...
There was the local food mag, Eat! Magazine stand there and I went up there and proudly told them that I have the entire series of Eat! Magazines from the inaugural Vol 1 right up to the current issue.
I think 3/4 of Singapore's population was at Singapore Expo today... because it took almost 8 mins or more to move from Hall 3 to Hall 6, where the warehouse sale was.
Today was the 2nd time I went to the MPH Book Fair so I only bought four items, as opposed to yesterday's 29 items.
The four items are :
- C S Lewis' 'The Chronicles of Narnia';
- Clive Barker's 'Coldheart Canyon';
- Mary Higgins Clark's 'He Sees You When You're Sleeping'; and
- Quick & Easy Chilled Desserts from the Japanese Kitchen - 70 Best Recipes.
After that, we moved on down to the World Book Fair at Suntec. Ferret had a heavy load of books so she decided to return home.
That fair was full of Chinese books! However, I managed to purchase the following two books at 15% discount at the rare English books stand. The books are :
- 'Maddest Yet About Food' by Sylvia Tan; and
- 'dim sum : traditional favourites and innovative creations' by Chan Chen Hei.
After a whole day of walking and toiling, lugging the heavy books around, it's now time for me to put up my feet and enjoy a nice cold drink. And oh... kaypoh around the forums a bit because I wanna see what mischief you have all been up to!
