Yesterday, amongst my 'treasure finds' were four of Koontz' books - 'The Face', 'The Taking', 'Life Expectancy' and 'Odd Thomas'. I've read 'Intensity' and 'Tick Tock'... can't really remember anything about them now as I read it quite a long time back but I'm sure you'll enjoy them, as I always do Koontz' books.
I also grabbed Crichton's 'Timeline' yesterday.
yup! life expectancy and the taking are the big books....Originally posted by Ferret:I didn't see any Life expectancy ! Hmmm...
And one of the bigger books is the taking right ? I couldn't find the smaller version anywhere....
Which two anne rice books ? I only saw blood canticle and I read that already... >_<'
And Stephen King and Terry pratchett books are sorely lacking ! I couldn't find a decent title from them !
My chocolate haul is smaller! hehehe! I bought a few bars of Ritter Sports chocolate bars with the Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion : Ritter Biscuit, Yogurt and Cappucino. Now they're sitting proudly, taking pride of place in the top shelf of my fridge, awaiting eventual and gradual devourment!Originally posted by the Bear:Greg Bear? i didn't know i had an author cousin
seriously.. today, i'm more pleased with my chocolate purchases
1 Grand Marnier Truffles Bar
1 Mumm Truffle Bar
1 Grand Marnier Liqueur Chocolate
1 tube of Droste Orange Pastilles
2 bags of Espresso Coffee Shots Chocolate Coated Coffee Beans
1 box of Altoids mints

Yeah his books are very special in a way..His one book that caught my attention was "seize the night"..His characters are very humourous and the stories always have a sort of spiritual theme to them...and well...he always have good endings !
And yeah, I read most of his books before too. Since they are on sale, I might as well get them. I have a habit of rereading books anyway, haha.
Early birds caught the worm, Ferret... yesterday morning, I saw a few Terry Pratchett books, three titles, all from the Discworld series. I think they were 'The Light Fantastic', 'The Wyrd Sisters' and one other title I can't for the life of me remember now.Originally posted by Ferret:I didn't see any Life expectancy ! Hmmm...
