New Exhibition About Town - 1421!

There's a new structure erected just opposite Marina Leisurecentre and the Ritz-Carlton hotel. It's hard to miss because it's painted in bright red. It has its main entrance by the side, facing the Esplanade and it looks imposing with its white billowy curtains and what looked like two stone lions flanking its red-carpet walkway.
What is it??
It's the '1421 Exhibition'! And it's opening on 10 June!
This is the book by Gavin Menzies that inspired this exhibition :
Here's what it says on its back cover, which might give you an inkling on what the 1421 Exhibition is about :
"On March 8, 1421, the largest fleet the world had ever seen set sail from China. Its mission was 'to proceed all the way to the ends of the earth to collect tribute from the barbarians beyond the seas' and unite the whole world in Confucian harmony.
"When it returned in October 1423, the Emperor had fallen, leaving China in political and economic chaos. The great ships were left to rot at their moorings and the records of their journeys were destroyed. Lost in China's long, self-imposed isolation that followed was the knowledge that Chinese ships had reached America seventy years before Columbus and had circumnavigated the globe a century before Magellan. Also concealed was how the Chinese colonized America before the Europeans and transplanted in America and other countries the principal economic crops that have fed and clothed the world.
"Unveiling incontrovertible evidence of these astonishing voyages, 1421 rewrites our understanding of history. Our knowledge of world exploration as it has been commonly accepted for centuries must now be reconceived due to this landmark work of historical investigation."

I might just attend during the off-peak times when you are all gwai gwai at work, trapped in your cubby-cages! I always try to avoid the madding crowd!

Has anyone visited this exhibition yet? I'm wondering if it's worth our while to go or not.

Looks interesting, but I won't be going that early (if I were to go at all) . Exhibition is on till 11 September 2005 . Price is very reasonable, $10 for adults. -

It says in there that during school holidays, tickets are at $2 off!
Also, if six adults are going, you only need to pay for five and one goes in free! (Total : $50 i.s.o. $60). -
