If you buy and hold the bonds til maturity, then it's totally riskless (US government won't default) and the yield is already locked in. Of course, bearing no risk gives you minimal return which in this case is currently around 4% for ten years... At least much better than putting in local banks!Originally posted by k4korny:Eric, but US interest rates is rising leh? which will cause bond prices to drop. how so is it riskless? I was looking at the charts. pretty volatile too, and has been heading south since april.
errmm... maybe we should discuss this somewhere else. PM me?
Being realistic & making it achievable. Setting motivational "goals" to keep u going.. that's no dream.Originally posted by EricDraven:If you buy and hold the bonds til maturity, then it's totally riskless (US government won't default) and the yield is already locked in. Anyway, back to topic, when you define your dream job and life, are they something you think you could never attain in your lifetime? A dream that can never be realised? Far-fetched or realistically achieveable?
No poiny day-dreaming... Let's all work towards our ideal lifestyle... My dream life would be idealistic, having your loved one with you... leading a life of comfort and having no major worries... A life where money is not an issue. I believe in achieving realistic targets (i.e. earning enough money) to lead my idealistic lifestyle.
Can every day be a happy day? Can life and love be so simple and untainted? Can dreams be real? I like to believe so... and am working towards it...
