That will depend on the Indian family. There are the traditional indians and the modern indians and the way they carry themselves is so different!Originally posted by kops21:guess that is what happen here.... ....now still have meh?

Firstly, you asked if we would join, so I said only if it's free. Just answering your question also get criticised!Originally posted by kops21:Y everyone want to be FREE then join Nothing is free in this world, u know.......
keep on the shelf for too long, the expiry dates going, going gone leow....
Yeaa, the person can come from a totally different continent, a country home to less than 2 million people, all the way to Singapore, and you meet.Originally posted by Rhonda:Nope, haven't joined one before. I believe 'You3 Yuan2 Qian1 Li3 Lai2 Xiang1 Feng2'.
i just love to read ur long response.Originally posted by Rhonda:Firstly, you asked if we would join, so I said only if it's free. Just answering your question also get criticised!
And btw, some things ARE free in this world!
And, excuse me, I don't think I'm 'left on the shelf' nor do I subscribe to the 'expiry date' theory. It IS better to be 'left UNTOUCHED and IN PEACE on the shelf' then just go and get married for the sake of marriage. If I wanted to just get married, I would have done so already. The truth of the matter is, there were opportunities for me to get hitched but I chose to pass and walk on, so kops, welcome to the 21st Century where there ARE the few of us who consciously choose to be 'left on the shelf', and high high up on the shelf too, far from reach!
And... 'expiry date'? You're talking about the biological clock, izzit? Well, that has never bothered me. So what if I get married and have kids? So what if I get married and don't have kids? Married or not, with or without kids, I'm going to be happy and have fun. And btw, husband and wife makes a family unit too, with or without kids. There are also so many unfortunate kids who are in need of a loving home and I'm really open to the possibility of adoption IF and WHEN I get married and we both want kids.
For far too long, this society has imposed its expectations on us. Study, get married, have kids, etc etc. Y'know, the 'perfect' life. Just too bad, cuz I'm going to do what I like.
And, why is there this stigma that you attach to females remaining single? It's NOT as if I have committed a crime, y'know, kops! Marriage, or the absence of it, in no way determines a person's value nor contribution to society!
So, yes, leave me alone on the shelf where I shall dangle my legs on the edge and cross them and swing them along to the tempo of the music of life. Que Sera Sera!
Precisely!!Originally posted by foxwalk:Yeaa, the person can come from a totally different continent, a country home to less than 2 million people, all the way to Singapore, and you meet.
Or in my friend's case, she went to NZ to work, met a guy who's from Croatia.
How come you don't meet and fall for the neighbour next door?
OK! OK! I will step down from the soap box... if you'll stop singing!Originally posted by kops21:i just love to read ur long response.
