back from dinner at amk.
verdict - very good
had the following:-
* crab bee hoon - yummilicious! my fav. the crab's huge sweet n fresh and the soup's totally sinfully savoury
* black pepper crab - quite spicy but very very nice... meat is sweet n juicy.
* butter crab - sinful but oh so good... again, huge huge huge crab!!!
we had other zi cha stuff too (11 of us) - not bad but rather typical zi cha - nothing to write home about. i tot the fried mee sua and herbal chicken was not bad. the cereal prawn, pork ribs, claypot tofu and hei zo were rather mediocre.
oh well, here's my report. tho i think you guys prob wun go there, since it's definitely not halal bcos it's a chinese kopitiam...
soft shell crabs. hmmm... the famous claypot rice place at geylang serves pretty good ones... nice nice claypot rice too! but again, it's chinese non-halal food...

Another recommendation for crabs: There's one at Mosque street (opp Chinatown point) called Ah Hoi Teochew restaurant (i think.. suffering from amnesia now.
)
Their cold crabs: very fresh and sweet.

Oh back to crabs, I saw in the newpaper that they have Cheesy crabs at Kim's seafood. I wonder if it is good. Anyone tried it yet?

I have never eaten cheesy crabs before though I love it with melted butter too :O
