  For me it has to be Andrew Lang's Fairy book series...there are a few colors like Red Fairy book, Blue Fairy book, Green Fairy book etc. It is a really HUGE collection of fairy tales and legends from all over the world!!!!

  I remember when I was in Pri 1-3, I was crazy over the Nancy Drew series! And then, there were the 'Choose Your Own Adventures' series that was great fun too!

  roald dahl visited my primary school before
  If only he don't hate adults so much i'd have liked him more but can't really blame him too abused by parents when he was young but then again if he wasn't abused he wouldn't have written children books

  I loved Dahl's books, especially 'Henry Sugar' (and the other short stories in that book).

  Haha I was hooked on the classical Dracula movie
  I had it taped and watched it everyday till I got nightmares

  When I was about 3-4 years old, I remember my mum reading to me from William Murray's 'Peter and Jane' books. Anyone know that? They're currently out of print... wish I'd kept some for old time's sake!

  besides the usual Enid Blyton's books.... mostly i read chinese "yu yan gu shi" and fairytales.... yes i cheena one
  
  i still rem going to library every wk since pri 1.... reading stuffs like "journey to the west", "na zha" etc.... in traditional chinese!

  I love Enid Blyton books, especially Famous 5 and St Claire's series. I might have read them all!
  
  It's amazing how one author almost singlehandedly moulds a child's concept of the world. I knew school wasn't like St Claire's, and life in Singapore is words apart from what it is in England, but you grew so familiar with their way of life that it's as if you lived there half your time.
  
  Some other stuff I really liked, The Three Investigators and Tin Tin .

  a fair share of enid blyton like famous five, o'sullivan twins.......
  
  then on to alfred hitchcock
  was into Fear Street series and also Christopher Pike when i got older..........
  
  along the way i enjoyed xiao ding dang, lao fu zi.........

  Blistering barnacles!! I'd almost forgotten about the Tintin series... hubby & I watched 16 episodes in 6 days... phew! Each episode was about 1 hour long!
