Pick of the Movies - War of the Worlds

I managed to catch this movie last Thursday and I highly recommend it!
You've got to get used to the idea that you're going to see aliens in this movie because afterall, it's a movie about alien invasion on Planet Earth. (So yeah, don't go to this movie and then laugh at how stupid it is because of the aliens because well, if you go to a movie on aliens, aliens is what you'll see!
)
It kept me gripping the edge of my seat from the suspense! The special effects are really really good!
Something's coming out from the ground!
Absolute shock...
Absolute despair...
Absolute fear...
Absolute mayhem...
Absolute will to survive...
Don't miss this movie on the big screen!

I watched it. I like the movie but i really think the ending sux just as i mentioned in the thread i started hehehehe.... but well there are fans too. I am neutral so my verdict is "A good movie. Not great but good. Ending could be better presented."

I kinda liked the ending because it showed that we think we're mightier than the single-celled microscopic organisms but in the end, we owe our survival to them. 
All living organisms, regardless of size and complexity, has its place in our universe. -

Even my mom, who went on a date with my dad to watch this, told me it was 'very very good'!
The suspense is so great that all through the movie, you're kept at the edge of your seat! I didn't realise that I had tensed up throughout the movie and only realised it when I relaxed at the end! -

Watched it yesterday with Chris. What the aliens feed on is really gross *yuck*
Anyway I wanted to watch Batman or Initial D but those are the 2 movies Chris wanted to skip

We went with my dad last sat cos his birthday's on sun. Dad enjoyed the movie He read the original before but couldn remember what it's all about cos its been many years

I didn't really enjoy the book, so not really keen on this show. Though WOTW was a pioneering sci-fi fiction story, the storyline isn't catchy enough. I thought it was different from the novel i read years ago. Sorry, Rhonda..........can't share nor contribute. Me no go cinema for the past 7 years liao. Hubby and me not cinema-goers. Got to wait for DVD release. But heard on local news that it was Tom's best opening in his entire film career. I think was like $21 million.

If I had a boyfriend or a husband, I would prefer to stay home and watch DVD's too. I'm a homebody and really prefer to avoid the crowds if I can help it.

Hee hee...........yeah, I read the pak gua gossips online ley. The ang moh mag quite ex and then the Chinese mag lagi ex and then can struggle to read some words so forget it lah. Haha,I watched Initial D 1st before watching War of the Worlds 15 mins after Initial D ended. Was in JB to watch the movies. Cheaper than SG mah. Initial D if you had watched the animation or read the comics, you will realised that the movie is actually about half of stage 1. Nice movie though. Try watching the DVD or VCD. Actually there are a few AE86 running on Spore roads. There is this AE86 that had the same decal as the animation. The tofu shop name in japanese decal. Used to be spotted around NTU. oops..
