Some more saving tips-
1. Get your hair cut by students only $5 or patronise those $10 shops or keep long hair.
2. Carry back leftovers in doggy bag & feed your pet
3. Buy clothes - drip & dry, don't have to iron.
4. Save ketchup & chilli sauce from fastfood restns.
5. Ask yr friends to call u if u have free incoming, monitor the no. of SMS - your phone has this function.
6. Do DIY facials & manicure
7. This last one really happens- pple bath & wash clothes in condo. toilets rather than their own -

This thread is about simple saving tips. If the people want to do it, its their own choice. What I had pointed out, I"m sure the policeman in this forum is well aware of. Heck , you dun even need to travel across the causeway. across the causeway is cheaper though. Rather than buying the dvds, I rather watch the movies in the cinema there and enjoy the food there.The cinema is by cathay management. Even the ticketing software is SG software. Still can see our currency picture on the screen. -
Dun buy clothes in SG unless you are buying international brands, where the price is the same almost everywhere. Make a annual trip to Bangkok for shopping of the entire year's clothes, bags, shoes etc. Even with the hotel and airfare factor in, the cost of the annual trip will be almost the same as a yr's shopping bill in Spore. And still get a short holiday to BKK . And the yummy food there.

as dog lover and owner, i must say tis is NOT right! dogs are not to be feed with human food... which often cooked in oil, salt and msg etc.... it'll cause skin diseases, digestive problems and even heart problem for the dog....Originally posted by gerrykoh:Some more saving tips-

i also cut down on expenses for my dog.... groom him myself, only send him out for prof grooming once in 3mths or more; no more japanese titbits; no more premium brand shampoo tat cost $40 a bottle; premium can food is for occasions...
if u feed ur dog with proper, non-chemical infused dog food, it may cost abit more.. but ur dog stays healthy and lives longer... and u save on vet fee.... -

Nah... unfortunately I'm working in a college library, nothing nice but textbooks and simple fiction books (for those who wanna practice their language skills) in here. My local library, however, is just as good as the National Library in terms of their collection!
(I even wrote that in their recent survey... hehehe) -

SL, I can't help wondering how the public libraries in Melbourne are. I hope they have a huge collection of books and that they keep it updated! I'd jump for joy if they have the latest cookbooks, gardening, interior deco, health and fitness, etc etc etc!
